Exploring our Father’s Treasure House

When I responded to the promptings of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) some 40 years ago little did I know where this adventure would take me, but one thing I do know for sure, my Lord and Saviour has never left me nor turned His Face against me. He has protected me from all the odds, which sometimes included me.

I began this blog purely as a record of my journey as I ‘came out’ of the Christian church and followed where the Lord leads me.

Initially, I was ‘a recovering Christian’, ie one that recovering the hebraic roots of a christian faith, but by the end of 2010 I felt the time had come for a small change in direction… from ‘a recoverer of my hebraic roots of a christian faith’ to ‘explorer of Emunah’. A word which is mostly translated as ‘faith ‘.

A small change perhaps – but for me significant. As I look back over my journal of the last year – I can see a momentous struggle has taken place as I have ‘come out’ of the old ways and moved further into a more Torah observant lifestyle.

And it would seem to that it pleases Him to lead me into a Torah observant lifestyle.

Now I find myself with a desire to explore familiar words/ideas/concepts and to understand what they mean from a Jewish perspective.

This, then is a continuation of my journey through life as I search for the truth about my beloved Jewish – Yeshua HaMaschiach and the changes that I have made and continue to make, in my life, as I sit at His adored Feet in our adored Father’s Treasure House.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues its resolute path. We have been in lock down for 6 weeks but it does look like the restrictions will be lifted on Monday, although things will not go back into normal. Indeed will life ever go back to the way things were?

• UPDATE Jan 2023 – I think it would be quite safe to say now that ‘no’ life has not returned to ‘how it was prior to the lockdown – we live in a new ‘normal’.
